WHAT MAY BE HAPPENING WITHIN YOU
You may believe in Jesus Christ while still seeing yourself mainly through your past, failures, wounds, or former way of life. Old thoughts can continue speaking as though nothing has changed. God invites you to accept what He has made true through Christ: you have received a new spiritual life, a new relationship with Him, and a new foundation for understanding who you are.

INNER TEACHING
Accepting your new life in Christ begins with believing what God has done, not merely trying to improve the person you used to be. Scripture says that anyone in Christ is a new creature. This does not mean that every habit, memory, or struggle disappears immediately. It means your former life no longer has the right to define your relationship with God or determine the direction of your future. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you have been brought into newness of life. Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. You can therefore stop treating old shame, rejection, and failure as your permanent identity. When former patterns speak, bring them under the truth of Scripture. Receive forgiveness, accept correction, and choose thoughts and actions that agree with the life of Christ within you. New life grows through faith, renewed thinking, obedience, fellowship with God, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. As this truth becomes established inwardly, it begins to affect your outward choices, relationships, words, and priorities. You are not required to pretend that the past never happened. You are invited to live from the greater truth that, in Christ, the past no longer owns you.

Which part of my former identity am I still allowing to define me? What truth about my new life in Christ do I need to accept and practice today?
YOUR ALPHAMATION
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. My past, failures, wounds, and former way of life do not have the final word over me. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I have received newness of life. My life is hidden with Christ in God. I accept God’s forgiveness, renew my mind with His Word, and receive grace to live from the life of Christ within me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for giving me new life through Jesus Christ. Help me release every former identity that contradicts what You have made true in Him. Renew my mind, heal the places still governed by shame, and teach me to walk in newness of life. By the Holy Spirit, shape my thoughts, choices, words, and relationships so that the life of Christ becomes visible through me. Amen.
BRING IT INTO DAILY LIFE
Read 2 Corinthians 5:17 slowly three times. Write down one old description of yourself that must be released and one truth from Scripture that describes your new life in Christ. Choose one action today that agrees with the new truth.
